Breaking News: Chicago Bulls

May 29, 2008

Doug Collins has been lured out of the TV booth to coach the Chicago Bulls for the second time. He has a career coaching record of 332-287 with Chicago, Detroit, and Washington, but he has only a 15-23 record in the playoffs. He last coached in 2001-2002. Chicago is coming off a very disappointing 33-49 season, but they do have loads of talent, as well as the number one pick in the upcoming draft. Collins definitely seems to have made a good decision on this one.

Report: Kendrick Perkins arrives

May 29, 2008

“Perkins is eating us up.”- Flip Saunders, The Boston Globe

Last night Beaumont Ozen’s Kendrick Perkins raised his game to a new level, the 23 year old center; who was once famously forced to shoot pivitol foul shots in a playoff series his rookie year; provided the cataylst to a Boston win, with his 18 points, and 16 boards. Perkins; who has flourished this season since being taken under the wing of Kevin Garnett; was quoted as saying “I know our big three veteran guys. I know this opportunity doesn’t come much. I knew if I was up in age, up in my 30s, and a young fellow was there, I’d want him to go all-out for me, too.” heady words for a 23 year old who came straight out of high school.

Welcome to the show Baby Shaq.
